SOCIAL MEDIA CASE STUDY
The Weekender
Creative Community & Events
01
A Tacloban creative community built around art markets, workshops, performances, makers, and shared experiences.
Turn the event into a content system.
I managed how The Weekender showed up online — planning campaign content, designing promotional graphics and carousels, writing captions, publishing, and editing selected video work across festival campaigns.
MY ROLESocial Media Manager · Video Editor
Content planning, campaign concepts, graphic and carousel design, caption writing, publishing, and video editing.
The Weekender needed more than attractive posts. I built complete social campaigns around launches, event information, local makers, activities, supplied-footage edits, publishing, and community communication.
01Concept & StrategyCampaign direction, content pillars, hooks, and publishing sequence.02Design & CopyPubmats, carousels, information hierarchy, captions, and calls to action.03Video EditingSupplied footage shaped through selects, pacing, sound, graphics, and social formatting.04PublishingCalendar management, final checks, sequencing, posting, and audience-facing information.
ATTRIBUTION I conceptualized, designed, captioned, edited, and published the submitted work. Photographers and videographers supplied raw material where applicable; I do not claim camera work I did not shoot.

The fullest expression of the system: campaign launch, anniversary storytelling, workshops, merchants, Art Talks, performances, activations, partner communication, and event recaps.

MERCHANT DISCOVERY SYSTEM
Meet the Merchants
A recurring discovery format introducing makers across the major campaigns, followed by the Merchant Pool recruitment extension.
04
SEASONAL CAMPAIGN DIRECTION
Distinct worlds. One Weekender.
Sunkissed, Cupid's Art Fair, and Merry Makers each keep their own color, tone, and campaign rhythm inside the portfolio's dark editorial frame.
05
SELECTED VIDEO EDITS
Story, energy, and community—in motion.
Selected campaign videos, attendee moments, promotions, and recaps edited from supplied footage. The active video plays automatically with its original sound and pauses offscreen; silent clips loop cleanly without unnecessary controls.
06
COMMUNITY & PURPOSE
Creative events with something to say.
Accessibility, sustainability, collaboration, and participation grouped into focused activations without flattening their individual identities.
07
BRAND BEYOND THE FEED
The campaign became tangible.
Selected physical and experiential extensions—including anniversary merchandise, collectible pins, activity mechanics, photobooth treatments, and workshop collateral.
08
OPERATIONS & SUPPORTING CONTENT
The posts that keep the system moving.
Recruitment, calls for creatives, partner communication, reminders, and promotional work presented as supporting communication rather than filler.

SOCIAL MEDIA OPERATING SYSTEM
From planning to optimization.

A creative platform rooted in Tacloban's underground culture,
bringing together music, art, nightlife, and community.
Build the mystery. Reveal the experience.
Each event takes place at a changing undisclosed location, revealed
to ticket holders one day before the event. I helped shape the social
content around that experience through planning, graphic work, publishing,
and short-form video editing.

A Filipino DJ, producer, and audio manipulator whose work has travelled across the archipelago. THIRSTKID has appeared on Worldwide FM, The Lot Radio, Headstream, and Seoul Community Radio, while playing clubs including Savage, Beamcube, Mad Tropical, Barbosa, and Nokal. His practice also extends into production and releases across labels including Transit, Twelve Pointed Records, and FuFu Records.
THE FEATURE
Developed a two-part artist spotlight for NOW.HERE: a motion-led introduction built around THIRSTKID’s visual identity, followed by a performance edit that lets the audience experience his energy behind the decks. The format was designed to introduce the artist before the event while keeping every feature recognizable as part of one campaign system.
Tacloban-native DJ and NOW.HERE co-founder whose approach is built around connection without boundaries. As a member of Contrast, YLMRN has built a reputation for weaving diverse genres through his live sets, extending his reach across respected Manila nightlife venues and international stages while helping create events that move the local culture forward.
THE FEATURE
Built a two-part feature pairing YLMRN’s motion-led artist identity with a live performance edit. The first piece establishes his visual presence and genre-fluid character; the second shifts into performance footage to connect that identity with the energy of the room and his role within NOW.HERE.
RAMSES approaches music as something to be uncovered rather than simply played. Through We Can’t Relate in Davao, he builds nights around discovery and connection, drawing from years of digging through record stores, cities, conversations, and late nights. Each set reflects those experiences back onto the dance floor.
THE FEATURE
Created a two-part spotlight that moves from RAMSES’ distorted motion portrait into live performance footage. The visual treatment mirrors his approach to selection—discovery, texture, and tension—before the second slide grounds the feature in the shared dance-floor experience.
Since 2014, Jedd Rommel has been navigating dance floors across Manila, from underground clubs to larger commercial venues. Influenced by artists such as Mark Sherry and Tiësto, his sound is rooted in the tension, energy, and emotional pull of trance, delivered through years of experience behind the decks.
THE FEATURE
Developed a motion-to-performance feature that introduces Jedd Rommel through a trance-rooted visual identity, then transitions into live footage from behind the decks. The shift from portrait to performance lets the campaign communicate both his aesthetic and the emotional intensity of his sets.
Brice explores the intersection of hypnotic techno, acid textures, and hard groove. His sets are built around momentum and atmosphere, favoring long transitions and groove-led progression over predictable peak moments. Drawing from warehouse energy and late-night dance floors, he builds tension, movement, and connection from start to finish.
THE FEATURE
Designed the feature around Brice’s hypnotic, tension-building sound. A distorted motion portrait sets the tone first, then the performance edit carries the same dark, immersive visual language into live footage so the feature feels continuous rather than like two unrelated posts.
YZARK is a DJ and producer from Manila’s underground music scene, known for explosive, high-energy sets. Affiliated with Raw Manila and Hard Dance PH, he also founded Passage, a collective dedicated to pushing the scene forward. His sound has travelled from Cebu and Siargao to Boracay, Iloilo, and beyond.
THE FEATURE
Created a two-part introduction that matches YZARK’s explosive identity with a glitch-driven motion visual before moving into a high-energy performance edit. The sequence keeps the same visual tension across both slides while showing the audience how that identity translates into a live set.
Originally from Quebec, Frank Cloud treats music as a universal language. Known for exclusive live mashups of his own creation, he blends familiar vocals with unexpected rhythms to create sets that cannot be experienced the same way twice. His influences include Oppidan, MPH, Joekay, and Kaytranada.
THE FEATURE
Built a two-part feature pairing Frank Cloud’s warped motion identity with performance footage. The intro reflects his mashup-driven approach through movement and distortion, while the second slide shifts into the live environment to show how that curiosity and unpredictability play out in a set.
